he came and worked in washington. he has been an invaluable employee of mine and the state of nevada, the senate. he's a person that the entire senate looks to for advice and counsel on banking and housing issues and other matters. he's been a wonderful, wonderful employee. i really hate to lose him, but his talent is one that people recognize, both democrats and republicans, and i'm very proud of him. and even though i'll miss him, i know he'll be very, very good as a commissioner of the commodities futures trading commission, one of the most important commissions in the entire world. so i wish him the very best. i ask unanimous consent that when the senate completes its business today, the senate adjourn untiadjourn until 3:45 n monday, october 24, for a pro forma session only, no business conducted. following a pro forma session, the senate adjourn until 11:00 a.m. on thursday, october 27,
